I tried these songs on this EP and I have to say it reminded me sort of some of the more peppy and upbeat Alternative Rock sounds that bands like Everclear and Presidents of The United States of America were making. I thought the vocals weren't much to write about. The approach to vocals from the lead singer is to use this this half sung almost non-melodic technique which also has these odd slurring sneer moments as well. I am not sure the lead singer sings all that well but that may not be the most important thing for a band with a sound like this. What is good about this band is all he band members of Colt sounds like it really knows how to play well with one another to make a good basic Rock sound. There is nothing that says virtuoso in Colts approach to what they have done on this EP and I don't expect it to change into anything more than what it sounds like right here which is your basic care free Alternative Rock sound that has a dash of some Pop aesthetics sprinkled in for added appeal. I give this EP four stars.

Colt will pretty much take over your brain.
